We’ve always admired companies that put their money where their mouth is when it comes to Social Good. There are so many that have led the charge like Levi’s, Google, Microsoft and Ben & Jerry’s to name a few. That’s why I wanted to implement very early on, a strategy for social good in my home town of New York City. We’ve committed that at least 1% of Motus’s net profits will go to a social cause we believe in. So much of the media business is focused on ROI, targeted media and leveraging platforms with users data, but very little is talked about when it comes to giving back as a member of the AdTech and media community. That’s why we believe it’s our responsibility to give to charity and specifically in the city where we’re based in a transparent trackable manner.
We’ve chosen New York Cares because they mobilize the largest network of volunteers where they are needed most.

New York City has always been the epicenter of the American Dream. It’s a place of hope and opportunity. A place millions have traveled to in search of a better life. Unfortunately, the American Dream feels unattainable for many vulnerable New Yorkers, who are facing such obstacles as limited education, poor nutrition, low literacy, unemployment, and lack of basic needs. With 45% of New Yorkers living near or below the poverty line, the complexity and scale of problems can seem overwhelming. Many people want to step up and help their neighbors, but they feel that the issues are just too big. “There’s nothing I can do to have a real impact.”
